One famous Chinese proverb goes like this – “One who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; one who does not ask a question remains a fool forever.” Would you rather be a fool forever? I think not. So go ahead. Ask a question in Ask500People.
You might be very much familiar of your behavior in accessing a website for the first time - A little scrolling here and a clicking of a link there and voila! You have consumed two minutes of your precious time before you closed that tab on your browser and went on with your life.
Accessing www.ask500people.com for the first time will waste more than that. You will even take your time to vote at the question on the front page and see the recent voter’s location on a Google map. Aside from that, you can see bar charts of the voters’ demographics and learn the fact that both gender mostly answered “Family” to the question – “What is the best thing about Christmas?” It is that cool.
The site has been recently revamped for better crowdsourcing and it has introduced the following:
- Demographic polling
- The ability to follow polls in a “favorite”
- Ability to embed on sites
- Ability to upvote cor downvote comments
Talking about crowdsourcing to the highest level, if you are a business you can use Ask500People for fast and inexpensive market research. These questions will be made private and will run on a polling network and not on the Ask500People website. You can use it for surveys like – “Determine which logo you like best”. That is how this site, CrowdsourcingLinks, came up with its logo.
