Most job marketplaces or sites on the internet either take a cut from job posters, or a fee for a job posting, or a cut from freelancer’s earnings or a combination of both. But there are some sites that let you do any or all of the above for free. One of them is IamFreelancer.

IamFreelancer is an online marketplace for business owners and freelancers. Business owners looking to post jobs can do so in this site for free. Freelancers, on the other hand, can also bid for freelance jobs and post their freelance portfolio without paying anything at all.

Their main objective is to provide freelancer members the opportunities and knowledge in the freelancing industry. The website is also a portal for those who fall under any of the category: freelancer, self-employed, small-office-home-office (SOHO) business operator, contract employee and not forgetting those whom have extra free time to earn extra income.

The site lists mostly IT-related jobs such as web design, web application development, translation jobs but not much freelance jobs from other industries. They are also quite updated and looking at their postings there are quite a handful of new jobs. The site is mainly for Malaysians and is pretty established with lots of freelance jobs posted.

The good thing about IamFreelancer is that aside from offering free services for both buyers and freelancers, they also offer lots of free resources. They offer software downloads, ebooks, scam alerts and articles all for the freelancers’ needs.
