The Bid Idea

Crowdsourcing is a new word, but not a new idea. The Internet did not invent the logo design contest, the open call for product ideas, the volunteer data-cruncher, or the reader-submitted article — but it did make them all easier! Crowdsourcinglinks.com takes this concept one step further. One morning over an especially good cup of coffee the Head Honcho thought to himself, “Why not crowdsource the creation of a website about crowdsourcing?”

And here it is. This site contains a database of crowdsourcing links. Those links may be to one-off projects or crowdsourcing marketplaces. All of them are submitted, described, reviewed, and voted on by members of the crowd.

Check out the links. Are they fun? Interesting? Profitable? Do they just plain suck? Well don’t keep it to yourself! Become a member to tell us (and the rest of the crowd) what you think.

The Head Honcho

The Head Honcho owns a European webdesign company and has been using crowdsourcing to build websites/e-commerce sites since 2005. He loves the way it brings people together from all over the world to get the best results. He felt so strongly about the awesomeness of crowdsourcing that he decided to build this site. “I want to prove the crowdsourcing concept works,” he says. “but it’s more than just that. I want to support the crowdsourcing community by bringing together all the available sites and projects in an easy overview format.”

The Crowds

The Head Honcho would like to thank the crowds that made this site possible:
